Known for their exceptional use of seasonal West Coast ingredients, Burdock and Co. it’s no surprise that this award-winning Main Street restaurant has some spot prawn dishes in the works!

Although their menu is TBA, in previous years, Executive Chef and Co-Owner Andrea Carlson has served up spot prawns in a variety of ways, such as fried up prawns with a pickled fir needle tartar and smoked in a fir broth!

Edible Canada

Paying ode to spot prawns, Edible Canada on Granville Island is kicking of their Canadian Table Dinner series with ‘SpotPrawns & Bubbles’ 

Hosted by Chef Tobias Grignon and sustainable seafood maven Meighan Makarchuk of Ocean Wise, guests will enjoy copious amounts of fresh spot prawns, menu items such as Fanny Bay oyster hush puppies, clam and rock fish gumbo and spicy octopus succotash and of course – rounds of bubbly!

Celebrate spot prawn season the Donnelly Group way by participating in their fourth annual series of Spot Prawn Boil dinners! Both The New Oxford and The Blackbird will serve up Southern-style seafood boils featuring perfectly seasoned spot prawns paired with local craft beer.  Roll up your sleeves, bring your friends and dig in!

2  Spot Prawn Pop-Up at the Vancouver Aquarium

Count on Ned Bell, Ocean Wise Executive Chef, to know what he’s doing when it comes to seafood.  Spot prawns are no exception. Hosted by the Vancouver Aquarium, the Spot Prawn Pop-Up will feature a five course menu with wine pairings prepared by featured Chefs Bell and Rob Clark. Learn about sustainable spot prawns while exploring the Aquarium’s galleries during the cocktail reception before making way to the Marine Science Centre’s pop-up setting for the evening.  Proceeds support various Vancouver Aquarium initiatives.
